Fillings

A cavity, a chipped piece of tooth, or an old filling that needs replacing. These are common problems that, fortunately, can often be effectively repaired with a filling.

Many people find it nerve-wracking when they hear that a filling is needed. Fortunately, this is a procedure we perform almost daily, and in most cases, it is quick and comfortable. We calmly explain what we are going to do beforehand so that you know exactly what to expect.

During the treatment, we remove the affected or damaged part of the tooth and restore it with a strong, tooth-colored composite filling. This is carefully built up and matched to the shape and color of your own tooth, so that the filling looks as natural as possible.

A good filling does more than just fill a cavity. By repairing a tooth in time, we often prevent the damage from worsening and requiring more extensive treatment later on.

After placement, we carefully check whether your bite feels comfortable. Does the filling still feel a little too high or not entirely comfortable? Then we adjust it immediately. For people who grind their teeth, exert a lot of force while chewing, or have extra wear, we can apply additional reinforcement where necessary.

Our goal is for you to leave the practice with a strong, comfortable, and natural-looking tooth that will last you for years to come.
